These are Custom Engraved Rolls that are hand engraved (Chasing). Chasing is done with a hammer
and chisel. They are not made with any machines or chemicals; they are 100% hand made with a hammer
and chisel alone. This is how all engraving was done a long time ago around the late 1800’s.
Bishop Custom Saddlery is now reproducing the original patterns from the 1800’s. All our Embossing
Rolls are hand engraved with the most detailed design for a superior finish.
We engrave on the highest quality brass. Patterns can be made in sets of 11/2", 1", and 1/2" or may be
sold separately. We can engrave most patterns, so if you have a pattern you need that is not available we
can design it and engrave it on a roll. All rolls are 1"5/8 round and will cover 5" pattern. Custom 2" roll
which will make a 6" long pattern.
